The reduced form factor of the Tunsten is made possible by a revolutionary new light engine. ASP research developed a unique technology which produces brilliant white pre-focused light. A constant current driver is combined with a mathematically precise collimating cone to achieve unparraleled output. Advanced optics are coupled with precise machined high strength aerospace aluminum. All surfaces are then anodized witha proprietary Type III matte black hardcoat finish.
The Tungsten Series of lights is availble in USB, CR1, and CR2
The Tungsten USB adds a micro USB charge port, internal charge circuit and Lithium-Ion power cell to the distinctive Tungsten design. Premium Tungsten features remain. A ringed, three flute grip is machined into a matte black Type III hardcoat anodized aerospace aluminum body. The four cut switch rotates to an Intermittent · Locked · Constant position. The detachable Snap-Loc clip may be positioned lens up or lens down. All connectors and springs on the Tungsten USB are gold plated. The electronic circuit board drives a Cree XPG2 LED to 450 lumens as measured against the ANSI FL1 Standard.
Loosening the head of the Tungsten reveals the micro USB charge port. Attach the retractable charging cable to the supplied car charger, wall charger or to a computer USB port. Even a micro USB cell phone charger can be used to recharge the Tungsten USB. The battery indicator of the Tungsten blinks red when charging. It turns solid green when fully charged. The car charger and wall charger have a blue LED indicator to confirm that the power source is active. The chargers and cord are encased in a zippered ballistic carrier.
The Tungsten CR lights provide smaler size options but maintain the innovative design, unparalleled performance, exclusive optics and three postion switch that makes them lights without equal. The Tungsten CR2 provides dual levels of light. A high level (575 lumens) and a low level (15 lumens).
