We have written quite a bit about the genre of non-alcoholic drinks. Gazoz is a cookbook devoted to the topic of carbonated nonalcoholic drinks. It is written by Benny Briga, a Tel Aviv restaurateur who serves many of them at his Café Levinsky. He ferments fruits in sugar for many, but not all of his drinks. His recipes include homemade fruit and vegetable syrups, nut butters, edible flowers and herbs. He provides recipes for peach, cherry, watermelon, tomato and many other flavors. $14.95.

Bluey is an Australian children’s TV cartoon which comes in handy when it is time for children to have a little quiet time and adults find it so entertaining, they often snuggle in for an episode. It is new to my family and it has gotten rave reviews. From my daughter…
Prepare to be charmed by this family of Australian dogs, living a life full of child-centered imaginary play, all in 8-minute episodes. Bluey and her little sister Bingo explore their world through playing the kind of creative, make-believe games that are charmingly authentic to how kids really think and interact. In one episode, Bingo is upset that Bluey gets to go to a friends’ birthday party that Bingo isn’t invited to. In retaliation, Bingo picks up a feather and casts a “heavy” spell on the people and things around her family. Bluey and her mom are hardly able to escape before Bingo “heavies” them, and then eventually relents. Yes, there are morals and learnings, but I mostly love the way the episodes make me, my eight-year-old, my six-year-old, and my three-year-old all laugh out loud. On Disney+.
