Stand out at baggage claim: Away releases a new limited-edition Neon Collection
Editor’s note: TPG was provided a bag from Away for testing. The opinions expressed below are entirely the author’s and weren’t subject to review by Away or any other entity.
If you’ve ever stood staring at a sea of black suitcases on the luggage carousel — or worse, in an unclaimed pile in baggage claim — knowing yours was somewhere among them but unable to distinguish it from the dozens of others, it may be time for a suitcase that’s a bit easier to spot.
The popular luggage brand Away is no stranger to helping people travel smarter and creating fun limited-time collections along the way. The brand’s newest collection contains its most eye-catching pieces yet, and they are just about 100% guaranteed to stand out in the airport.

Away’s limited-edition Neon Collection is available as of Tuesday, and it comes in two perfect-for-summer hues – Paradise Pink and Kiwi. Paradise Pink is an energizing neon pink (hello, #Barbiecore!), and Kiwi is a tropical neon green.
Some of Away’s most popular designs are available in the new colors, including the Bigger Carry-On (from $295) in Paradise Pink and Kiwi, the Large (from $375) in Paradise Pink and Kiwi, and the Cosmetics Bag ($75) in Paradise Pink. The trim, zippers and handles have been dyed to match the colors in this collection.
Each suitcase also comes with a “magic eraser” to remove scuffs and keep your bag looking as shiny and bright as possible. While we just received this neon bag and haven’t been able to log too many miles with it quite yet, some other Away colors do scuff, so just be aware the bags likely won’t stay looking fresh out of the box forever.
Away’s Neon Collection’s coordinating Packing Cubes ($45 for four) come in complementary shades of neon pink, orange, green and yellow with contrasting zippers to complete the look.
If you want to take your bright summer style on the go, you can also get Away’s Everywhere Sling Bag ($85) in Paradise Pink.
It’s a roomy bag that can be worn as a fanny pack or as a crossbody; it’s great for keeping air travel necessities like your passport and boarding pass within reach on travel days or for storing your wallet, sunglasses, phone and other must-have items once you reach your destination.

Based on TPG’s tests, Away’s hard-shell luggage generally performs just as well as it looks. The Away bags come with an interior compression system, 360-degree wheels, a luggage tag and a combination lock. You can also add an ejectable USB charger for an additional fee, but be aware you need to be sure to remove the charger before flying, so you might want to save the cash and go without that option.
But if you want your luggage to stand out from the crowd this summer, get your pieces from the bright and bold Away Neon collection now – if previous Away limited-release collections are any indicator, its availability is likely to pass by as quickly as your summer vacation.
