Bing May Replace Google Search
Now that Google has gotten into the mobile phone business with the introduction of Google Nexus, Apple Google fight seems to get worse. At present Google is the default search engine on iPhones. However, now this will not be the case.
Most probably Apple will team up with Microsoft and make Bing available on iPhone, instead of Google as the default search engine. For those who remain dubious what Bing is: Bing like google is a search engine from Microsoft. What sets Bing in a different league than other search engines like Yahoo, Google is its visual qualities. The background of the Bing home page changes regularly and one can find information provided concerning the picture and things linked to it. However, the search results are not that good when compared to Google. Nevertheless, one should certainly check out Bing for its layouts (Personally, I use BIng only for its homepage).
Going back to our subject, Bing may replace Google on iPhones. This will likely be a huge loss to Google and a big achievement to Microsoft. Till sometime back Google and Apple were two biggies of two different industries. but now Google has gotten into the Mobile market and may be in future it might also give strong opposition to Apple. (Though currently there is no Smartphone which is as popular as iPhone. Blackberry is there, but caters to a specific section in contrast to iPhone which is desired by one and all.) The guys at iphonehelp say if change inthe search engine takes place, Microsoft may become the biggestsearch engine tending to overtake Google.
Doubtful what they mean by ‘overtake’: Just for iPhone users or will it also have an effect on the usage routine on Desktops and Laptops. And if that occurs, that will be news. After all these years of being accustomed to Google, will shifting to Bing really feel alright? I realize I just said I like Bing but not as much as Google.
