Mini Cell Phone Generation
Mobile (cell) phones have been getting smaller ever since they first hit the market. They have moved from being the size of fax machine to items no bigger than a cigarette lighter in many cases. However, as people began to demand more of their phones, such as wanting them to include cameras and MP3 players for example, phones started getting bigger again. These smart phones such as the iphone and the latest generation of Nokias are certainly a lot sleeker than phones of old, but they represent a step backwards in terms of phone size and portability. However, this is soon set to change.
There is no longer a need to have every one of your phone’s files and functional programs loaded onto your handset, and this is down to advances in wireless and 3G connectivity. You can instead stream whatever information, games and functions you need from else ware, only when you need it. What this means then is that phones can be stripped down to their bare bones essentially, and they will actively adapt to suit the needs they are required for at the time.
A central hub will be needed and this can be either be located in your home or with your service provider. Your handset will be able to ‘login’ easily to this hub, regardless of where you are in the world, and access all the files and programs that are stored on it. You will still need a certain amount of hardware in the phone, such as a camera and other electrical components, but you will be able to save huge amounts of space where memory, processors and mini ac fans would normally be found. This means then that phones could be not much bigger than cable ties and you could even wear them as accessories such on a necklace or as a wrist-band. The phone would be liberated from its conventional state and could take any shape you desire.
